Sector: Rural development

LACIF supports rural development projects that empower the local community, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 1 (End poverty in all its forms everywhere), 2 (Zero hunger) and 17 (Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development), among others. LACIF finances improvements in infrastructure and services, municipal finances, environmental systems and rural housing.

Integrated rural development projects; promotion of decentralized and multi-sectoral competence for planning; implementation of regional development planning and measures (including natural reserve management); land management; land use planning; land settlement and resettlement activities; functional integration of rural and urban areas; geographical information systems.


Rural land policy and management:

Regional development planning; promotion of decentralized and multi-sectoral competence for planning, co-ordination and management.
