LACIF supports projects that improve access to health services in Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good health and well-being).
Project key objectives:
Improve access to and production of medicines;
strengthen health systems and advancing universal health coverage, delivery of better health services, including in areas such as ageing and long-term care, primary care and non-communicable diseases;
improve prevention, preparedness, and response to future pandemics at a global level, applying a One Health apporach;
Improve women's health, including sexual and reproductive health as well as maternalservices, and reduction of child and maternal mortality;
improve the quality of care;
optimize existing health capacities and training of the health workforce, sharing of knowledge and know-how, improvement of the health policy dialogue;
expand digital health to improve prevention, surveillance, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring.
