
The KfW is an international financial institution formed in 1948 as a part of the Marshall Plan. KfW promotes development in more than 100 developing countries. KfW prioritizes funding in the following areas: poverty reduction, economic development, good governance, education, health care, and protection of the climate and the environment.
LAIF and KfW have worked together across Latin America and the Caribbean since 2010, developing projects in the following sectors:
- energy;
- water supply & sanitation;
- transport;
- agriculture, forestry, fishing;
- industry; and
- general environmental protection.
