Within the framework of the DINAMICA II Initiative of the European Union, the Government of Germany through KfW, and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), and its Regional Seed Capital Program, events were held to recognize 199 Salvadoran entrepreneurs and 60 MSMEs, winners of non-reimbursable funds.

This event is the result of a competition that called for entrepreneurs and MSMEs to present their projects in search of financing and support for the development of their business ideas, specifically for the industrial, service and agricultural sectors, focused on the green transition and the digital transition. Twelve Business Development Centers (BDCs), allies of this Initiative in El Salvador, provided key advice to the companies, ensuring that their proposals were innovative, viable and contributed to the sustainable economic development of the country.

María Elvira Leiva de Cabrera, entrepreneur and owner of Cabañas Alpinas El Limo, in Metapán, notes that thanks to the DINAMICA II Initiative she will install solar panels to operate her restaurant with clean energy. This action reinforces the conservation of the cloud forest, an area of high ecological value as a water producer for a large part of the country. Her enterprise promotes a sustainable tourism model, generating local employment and promoting economic development in harmony with the environment.

Ciro Labs is an Artificial Intelligence laboratory that offers innovative and state-of-the-art products for the manufacturing industry, focused on data analytics and computer vision with AI, offering real-time information streaming. Victor Amaya, owner of Ciro Labs, says that with the support of the DINAMICA II Initiative, he will be able to scale his servers with new hardware and enhance his brand with marketing strategies to grow his business.

Galaxia Animal is a veterinarian company that is a reference in an animal welfare model that integrates preventive health with education, training and recreation for pets. According to its owner, Dr. Gabriela Quintanilla, with the injection of the seed capital received, she will be able to reduce energy costs by 80%, with the installation of a solar plant that feeds the operating room and consulting rooms. The savings generated will make it possible to strengthen other areas of the company, such as the hotel and the canine school.

This is the first event within the framework of the Regional Seed Capital Program in the country, held in San Salvador, with the participation of more than 300 members of El Salvador's entrepreneurial and business ecosystem and the presence of Mr. Alejandro Zelaya, CABEI Director for El Salvador; Mr. François Roudié, Ambassador of the European Union in El Salvador; and Mr. Thietmar Bachmann, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. at the German Embassy in El Salvador. On May 22 and 29, ceremonies will be held in San Miguel and Ilobasco, respectively, with the participation of more entrepreneurs and MSMEs from those areas.
