25 participants, involved in urban development projects all across Latin America, were brought together by the LAIF City Life Initiative to swap knowledge and experiences in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia).

This onsite workshop, which took place at the Spanish Cooperation Training Centre in Cartagena de Indias (from 24 to 28 October), is part of a course designed to help municipal managers and experts from associations of Latin American cities.

Organised in the framework of the Training Course for Municipal Managers, this LAIF City Life initiative offers 7 training modules and 6 virtual sessions, in addition to the onsite workshop. The course is foreseen to end on 24 November and should allow participants to learn first-hand about tools and methodologies that can be applied to the design of their projects, as well as to exchange knowledge and share experiences with other Latin American municipal managers.

The workshop was attended by Sergio Fajardo, former mayor of Medellin, who gave a keynote speech and provided important feedback on the different projects.

The LAIF City Life is an initiative led by AECID and supported by the European Commission.
