The Spanish Cooperation Training Center in La Antigua (CFCE Antigua) together with the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (CIEMAT) invite you to participate in the virtual course "Positive Energy Districts and their adaptation to climate change conditions", which will take place from September 20 to October 1, 2021.

Currently, more than 60% of the 7.5 billion people live in cities, which occupy only 2% of the earth's total surface while they consume 60% of global energy and generate 70% of greenhouse gases and of waste.

In this sense, the training proposal seeks the formation of capacities and the interconnection between the different actors involved in the cities, for the development of a roadmap that allows acquiring a positive energy transition in the neighborhoods, helping to improve resilience to changing climate. The foundations will be laid to define districts with a high quality of life that are affordable for their inhabitants and that make it possible to achieve environmental and sustainability objectives.

The course is aimed at managerial and specialist staff of the Public Administration involved in production and organization; professionals, technical people and teachers of the physical, chemical, mathematical and engineering sciences; representatives of companies dedicated to marketing, among others.

Registration deadline: August 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. in Spain
