CABEI, the Government of Germany, and the European Union allocate funds to Salvadoran MSMEs and enterprises undergoing digital transformation

The DINAMICA II Initiative, a tripartite effort of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the Government of Germany, through KfW, and the European Union, will allocate financial resources to six micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurship initiatives, for a total amount of US$15,000. These awards will be presented at the closing ceremonies of the three editions of the diploma courses in E-Commerce and Digital Administrative Management, promoted by the Center for Micro and Small Enterprise Development (CDMYPE), which specializes in digital transformation at the Gerardo Barrios University (UGB).
The diploma courses, which will be taught during the second semester of 2025, are expected to attract around 400 MSMEs and start-ups nationwide, who will have the opportunity to attend exhibition and marketing fairs at the end of their training. This space will enable each company and venture to apply what they have learned in practice, demonstrating the potential of technology to enhance logistics performance and client experiences through digital platforms, thereby promoting innovation.
In this first edition, Sophie Crown was one of the winners, and its project is focused on jewelry with unique and personalized engravings. This company seeks to invest in machinery to increase its production capacity. “I am proud to strengthen my brand, thanks to the DINÁMICA II Initiative. This is an innovative experience that will allow me to offer new accessories to all women in the eastern region at a good price, so they can feel elegant,” said Vanessa Vásquez, first-place winner.
The second winner was the “Abeja Dorada” venture, which produces honey and various honey products. Thanks to the capital obtained, the marketing of a wider variety of products on digital platforms will be promoted.
Two more editions of the diploma courses will be held during the rest of the year, with their respective graduations and fairs, which will promote partnerships between MSMEs and expand their client portfolio by positioning their products before new audiences.
This activity is part of the objectives of the DINAMICA II Initiative, which seeks to contribute to economic development and job creation in Central America by strengthening the business ecosystem for new, young, and innovative MSMEs, as well as promoting adequate access to financial services.
